Cooper Blisters Jefferson City
Tuesday, July 12th, 1994
It was a sensational day at the plate for Christian Cooper as he led the charge to a 7-6 win over the Jackalopes. The Dayton second baseman was pure misery for the Jefferson City pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 6 hits in 8 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Jackalopes told BNN reporters after the game, "Cooper put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Christian Cooper singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th, struck out in the 14th and singled in the 16th.

Presently Cooper is batting .331 with 114 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 34 runs and scored 48 times.
