South's #1 Player Named Monday, August 23rd, 1993 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the South, but last week Ernest Adams of the Poplar Bluff Predators reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Adams rocked opposing pitching for a .524 average (11-21), 4 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Adams is batting .345 with 174 hits, 37 home runs, 101 RBIs, .404 OBP and has scored 100 runs. |
