Finch Nets North #1 Pitcher Award Tuesday, July 1st, 1997 Jamal Finch hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning North Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In June the Bay City starter earned a 6-0 mark in 7 starts. He threw 43.1 innings, struck out 33 and compiled a solid 3.74 ERA. This year Finch has compiled a 8-3 record with a 4.03 ERA. |
