North Names Rookie of Month Thursday, May 1st, 2003 Irving Townsley's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Davenport shortstop has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In April he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .322 with 8 doubles, no triples and 2 home runs. Townsley also scored 15 times and drove in 11 runs. |
