 | South Selects #1 Starter in July Monday, August 1st, 1983 Logan Gleeson's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 5-0 in July, the 28-year-old Dayton hurler has been named South Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 30 in 43.2 innings, logged an ERA of 2.68 and allowed opponents to hit .257 against him. This year in 27 starts, Gleeson has recorded 13 wins and absorbed 7 losses. He has pitched 179.2 innings, allowed 154 hits, struck out 145 and has a 3.71 ERA. |   |
