 | Gardner Too Tough, Blanks Cedar Rapids Friday, August 30th, 1985 It was a dismal game for the Rebels with Dave Gardner on the hill. The Rochester starter was in top form and made it a long day for Cedar Rapids with a 1-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 2 hits and piled up 7 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.
