Week's Premier Performer Honored by North Monday, June 4th, 2001 At the age of 27, Roberto Vega might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Oshkosh right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .393 batting average. For his efforts Vega collected the North Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 28 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBIs last week in 7 games. Vega is batting .319 this year with 14 home runs, 34 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 58 hits in 182 at-bats. |
