South Selects Rookie Star of the Month Saturday, May 1st, 1999 Kent Williams's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Canton first baseman has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In April he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .319 with 9 doubles, no triples and 5 home runs. Williams also scored 14 times and drove in 11 runs. |
