| Fuller Dominates Dayton Tuesday, May 21st, 1985 Poplar Bluff starter Matt Fuller really did a number on the Dawgs today, shutting them out 2-0 on 2 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 4 strikeouts.
In his postgame comments, the Dayton manager said, "We didn't have good at-bats. I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting... seeing as our team has a bunch of pretty good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Matt... he did an outstanding job today."
For the season Fuller has logged 1 win and 4 losses and struck out 41 batters in 70.2 innings while compiling a 4.71 ERA. | |
