Duluth, Canton Make Deal Friday, February 1st, 1991 In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Duluth Danger have swapped 22-year-old minor league starting pitcher Lorenzo Leavenworth and 20-year-old minor league starting pitcher Brian Cornwall to the Canton Kernels for 34-year-old second baseman José Woods. The Danger GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it." In his career stats Woods has compiled a .298 batting average and collected 1851 hits, 161 home runs and 801 RBIs. |
