Cornell Miller Hurt, Out of Action
Tuesday, September 20th, 2005
Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Cornell Miller of the Jackalopes knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Bay City Lake Monsters while throwing a pitch. Because of bone chips in his elbow, the Jefferson City starting pitcher is expected to miss 7 months. Miller was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
So far this season Miller has 8 wins and 10 losses and a 3.19 ERA.
