League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Jefferson City Prevails Friday, September 16th, 2005 Jefferson City Jackalopes won a nail-biting series from the Lafayette Stars 3-2, wrapping up the League Championship Series finale 8-1 at Stars Field. Jackalopes second baseman Craig Keating was named the series MVP. He batted .500, drove in 2 runs and scored 4 to lead Jefferson City into the next round of play. The Jefferson City Jackalopes don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Kenosha Jackfish - Bay City Lake Monsters series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Heartland Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.. |
