Injury Worsens, Return Delayed For Bullfrogs Townsley
Tuesday, September 13th, 2005
It was learned today in Davenport that shortstop Irving Townsley would miss more time because his recovery from an intercostal strain was not going as well as expected. The Bullfrogs, however, were quick to relay that the setback did not seem to be serious and that Townsley would only miss 6 days more.
In 114 games this season Townsley has compiled a .253 batting average with 91 hits and 8 home runs. He has also scored 41 times and knocked in 42 runs.
