Cedar Rapids Won't Make Playoffs Sunday, September 11th, 2005 The Cedar Rapids Rebels will be forced to watch the Heartland Baseball League playoffs from home. The club made things interesting down the stretch, but have failed to quality for the postseason in the season's final days. Before this season, the Rebels last missed the playoffs in 2003. In the 27 years they have been a Heartland Baseball League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 16 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs only once. Cedar Rapids has won the Heartland Series 5 times in their history. |
