South Star of the Week Honored Monday, September 5th, 2005 Brenton Phipps punched, poked and pummeled the baseball last week and today he garnered a majority of the votes for the South Player of the Week award. The Canton Kernels left fielder slashed out a .522 average with 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 6 home runs and 14 RBIs. Phipps currently has a .279 batting average with 131 hits, 38 homers, 92 RBIs, 74 runs scored and a .364 OBP. |
