North Awards Player of the Week Monday, September 5th, 2005 At the age of 27, Fred Dougherty might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Bay City left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .524 batting average. For his efforts Dougherty collected the North Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs and 4 RBIs last week in 6 games. Dougherty is batting at a .333 pace this season, picking up 154 hits in 462 at-bats with 24 home runs, 76 RBIs and 96 runs scored. |
