Predators Lutz Injured Tuesday, August 30th, 2005 The Poplar Bluff Predators were dealt a severe blow when Larry Lutz was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the Springfield Storm. After the game, the team trainer reported Lutz might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 36-year-old center fielder out for the rest of the season with a broken bone in the elbow. They indicated it would take Lutz at least 4-5 months to heal. So far this season Lutz is batting .310 with 22 home runs. |
