No Playoff Berth Coming for Dayton Friday, August 26th, 2005 Any small hopes of playoff contention the Dayton Dawgs might have had are now long a thing of the past. The team has been mathematically eliminated from postseason consideration. The Dawgs have missed the playoffs 26 times in their 27 years as a Heartland Baseball League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 24th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1981. |
