Pedersen Goes Deep 3 Times Thursday, August 18th, 2005 Niklas Pedersen was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the Canton 7-4 triumph over Evansville, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands. Nobody who was at Twisters Park will forget this home run outburst anytime soon. The Canton shortstop went 4-for-5, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. He told the press corps after his three home run binge, "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight. I can't wait until tomorrow's game. I really feel good at the plate." Niklas Pedersen struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Cal Parker in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Scott Jackson in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Francisco Cora in the 9th. Pedersen is currently batting .271 with 21 home runs and 59 RBIs. |
