Wood Breezes to Shutout Victory Saturday, August 13th, 2005 Ron Wood of the Poplar Bluff Predators worked his mound magic on the Springfield Storm. He blanked them 11-0 on 2 hits, registering 6 strikeouts and 2 walks. "Making good pitches is the name of the game and I made some good ones in this one," said Wood after the game. This year Wood has recorded a 12-13 mark. In 30 starts he has fanned 224 batters in 219.2 innings with a 3.73 ERA. |
