Davenport Snaps Meyer's Streak at 24
Sunday, July 17th, 2005
The Davenport Bullfrogs got more than a 3-2 victory over Cedar Rapids today at The Lilypad. They put an end to Ken Meyer's 24-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 5 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Rebels left fielder.

Meyer seemed to feel more for his team than himself.

"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."

So far this season, Meyer has recorded a .343 batting average with 142 hits, 23 home runs, 101 RBIs, 77 runs scored and a .383 OBP.
