Meyer Stretches Hit String to 20

The number just keeps getting higher and higher. Rebels left fielder Ken Meyer has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it with 1 hit in the Cedar Rapids 3-2 win over the Dawgs at Rebel Field. Ken Meyer grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Danny Ruffin in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th.
On the season, Meyer is batting .339 with 23 home runs and 95 RBIs. He has played in 91 games.
