Terry Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Tuesday, May 22nd, 2001 South Bend won't soon forget the display of raw power put on today by Brian Terry of the Rochester Reapers. He victimized the Silver Sox by pounding three pitches out of The Pit. The homers sparked his club to a 9-7 win and got him noticed for the power barrage. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Terry told reporters. "Today I was in a groove ... tomorrow I could just pop up the same pitches and go oh-for-three." In addition to the homers, he collected 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Brian Terry flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Gary Dunn in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Gary Dunn in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jerry Faulkner in the 9th. Presently Terry is batting .313 with 63 hits and 13 home runs. He has knocked in 36 runs and scored 36 times. |
