Baker Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, July 8th, 1998 Spuds left fielder Billy Baker has extended his hitting streak to 25 games. He went 2-for-4 in today's game against the Poplar Bluffs HS Purple Knights. Springfield HS won the ball game 7-6. Billy Baker struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. This season Baker is batting at a .391 clip with 20 home runs and 73 RBIs. |
