Red Announces Player of the Week Monday, July 15th, 1996 The Cedar Rapids HS Coyotes received word today that right fielder Fred Dougherty was selected Red Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games. Dougherty took full advantage of all 15 plate appearances last week as he hit .615 with 8 hits, 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 6 runs scored. For the year Dougherty is batting .349 with 18 home runs, 62 RBIs and 57 runs scored. |
