Week's Premier Performer Honored by Black Monday, July 15th, 1996 Bill Swift burst onto the Black stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie left fielder for Evansville HS garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 17-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .571 (8-14) with 4 home runs and 8 RBIs last week. This year Swift has batted at a .445 pace with 109 hits, 15 home runs, 62 RBIs and scored 67 times. |
