Red's Premier Batter Picked Saturday, July 1st, 1995 Even though he is a newcomer to Heartland High School Baseball League, Fred Dougherty put up some good numbers in June and earned the Red Batter of the Month award. He was one of Cedar Rapids HS's offensive leaders with a .407 average in 14 games. He also racked up 5 home runs, 17 RBIs, and 17 runs scored. This season Dougherty has hit at a .348 clip with 44 RBIs, 9 home runs and 46 runs scored. He has played in 51 games. |
