Black Announces Best Pitcher for June Tuesday, July 1st, 1997 Over the past month Bob Gordon has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Black. He proved all that and now he's been named June's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Duluth HS Dogs posted 4-0 mark and a 1.80 ERA. In 4 starts he tossed 25 innings, permitted 19 hits and fanned 28 batters. Gordon has fashioned a 12-2 mark for the season, 1.53 ERA and thrown 106 innings in 17 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .195 against him. |
