Michigan's Ray Houston Injured
Tuesday, April 21st, 1998
The Wolverines received bad news this morning. Ray Houston will miss 4 months due to forearm inflammation. He sustained the injury in the Michigan-Purdue game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Houston sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."

This season Houston has claimed 1 save and registered a 1-0 record with a 7.88 ERA. He has 5 relief appearances spanning 8 innings and has struck out 9.
