Injury Forces Mike Huff Out
Wednesday, June 6th, 2001
Mike Huff at first refused to leave today's Missouri-St. Louis game after he suffered a concussion while colliding with a player at a base. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty St. Louis second baseman said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Huff out of action for 7 months.

This season Huff is batting .273 with 33 hits, 6 home runs, 29 RBIs, .378 OBP and has scored 16 runs.
