East Player of the Week Named Monday, May 4th, 1998 It was announced today by the East that Purdue right fielder Ty Butler had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. The Purdue right fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers, pounding them for a .524 average (11-for-21) with 1 home run and 6 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. Currently Butler is batting .339 with 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
