Jackson on Fire, 5-6 Against Indiana Tuesday, May 16th, 1995 5 hits in 6 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Pete Jackson of the Purdue Boilermakers had a sensational game against Indiana at Royals Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 17-5 shellacking of the Hoosiers. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Pete Jackson hit a three-run home run off John Allen in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Steve Walshe in the 8th. Jackson is currently batting .323 with 8 home runs and 22 RBIs. |
