OF Colin Reese

92%, 1st Ballot, Class of 1994
Oshkosh(1978~1980), Canton(1981~1988, 1991~1992), South Bend(1989~1990)

Reese was one of the pioneers in the HBL, quickly establishing himself as one of the leagues very first premier talents with his incredible power, blazing-fast speed, and ability to make solid contact. In an era in which the Canton Kernals dominated the South League, Reese was the face of the franchise. During his prime years from 1978 to 1989, Reese eclipsed 30 or more home runs four times, posted six 100+ RBI years, and stole over 30 bases six times, all while winning three Top Fielder crowns in the outfield. His best season came in 1982 when Reese won his third and final Top Hitter award, belted 39 home runs, drove in 128 runs, stole 45 bases, and batted at a .317/.356/.609 clip and was awarded the best fielder award in left. During his career, he had the honor in playing in a remarkable seven Championship series, two with the Oshkosh Outlaws and five with the Kernals. Reese retired with 1,935 career hits, coming up just shy of 2,000. Upon his election to the Hall of Fame in 1994, Collin ranked 3rd in league history in home runs (365), 6th in hits (1935), 11th in WAR (40.73), 2nd in RBI (1212), and 11th in VORP (360.26).

Career Highlight
Reese played in 1,732 career games and only missed one week over his entire career with injury.
